How to Fix a Treadmill Display That Shows Dashes or 8's

Issue: The display on the treadmill is showing only dashes, 8’s or reads “Safety Key Off.”

Resolution: Safety Key Reed Switch Troubleshooting

  1. The dashes or screen saver mode are an indicator of the safety key being off.
  2. Verify that the safety key is in place on the console - either inserted or magnetically attached
